information about the destination

Welcome to Lapland Deluxe, a unique countryside destination 55 km from Rovaniemi. At Saariniemi Heritage Farm, guests can enjoy peaceful accommodation and a genuine connection with nature, history, and local traditions.

Activities on the farm are guided by a sustainable way of life and fostering cultural heritage. On this farm established in 1862 as a forest warden’s croft, history and its stories have a strong presence. Your hostess’s family has lived on the farm from the 19th century.

Accommodation and services
The farm offers three unique accommodation options, with 10 beds in total:

  • Villa Ainola – a modern lakeside house with an electric sauna and optional barrel sauna
  • Otsola – a traditional log cabin with a lakeshore sauna in a quiet natural setting
  • Ranta-aitta – a charming 19th century log granary for two (in summer only)

We also offer meeting and celebration services (for 30 to 80 guests) as well as home-cooked meals made with local and home-grown ingredients. Our hay barn has found a new life as an ecumenical chapel that provides an atmospheric venue for both religious and secular ceremonies. Camps and other communal events are also organised at Saariniemi from time to timw.
