Eco-Travel ECEAT Finland

ECEAT Finland accepts as its members enterprises offering tourism services, such as:

• Organic farms
• Guesthouses, small hotels and campsites
• Course centres
• Local museums
• Ecological villages and communities
• Other ecological projects with a strong commitment to protecting the environment and local culture, for example by keeping indigenous breeds and conserving traditional landscapes.

All enterprises belonging to the network must meet with the sustainability criteria of ECEAT. More information about the criteria and goals of our ecological, cultural and social sustainability can be found here

In addition to entrepreneurial members, ECEAT Finland has supporting members who may be either private individuals or organizations/communities who wish to support the objectives and activities of the association.

If you would like to join the network as an entrepreneur, you need to meet with our sustainability criteria. You have to fill in two questionnaires: one to provide the details of your ecological tourist destination and its services, and another one to check if your destination is in keeping with ECEAT Finland’s quality and sustainability criteria.

In order to be accepted as a member, and to get a ECEAT Finland sustainability certificate, your enterprise will be audited by an independent quality expert.
