Everything we do at Hossan Lumo is strongly guided by eco-friendliness and green values. The Finnish-Irish couple running the enterprise also have a good understanding of different cultures: before moving to Hossa, they worked for eight years in multicultural environments in several countries.
Visitors can choose between our camping area and 11 cottages (40 beds in total) on the southern shore of Hossanlahti Bay known for its clean waters. The cottages cater for all budgets, ranging from a simple summer cottage to a well-appointed log villa. Two of the small cottages with no running water are only used in summer. The other cottages have kitchens, showers and toilets. Five of the cottages have private saunas.
A self-service kitchen, showers and toilets are available in the service building for those staying in the summer cottages and the camping area. The two lakeshore saunas are in shared use in summer (different time slots for women and men).
The newest cottage is accessible, the lakeshore saunas can be reached by wheelchair users, and there is a ramp leading to the shop/café.
The camping area has 15 sites for tents and 32 for caravans and cars. There is also a bathing area with a sandy shore sheltered by pine trees.
Hossan Lumo runs a small shop and café. The product range includes organic produce, ecological hygiene products and detergents, and souvenirs crafted in the local area.
